Monitor problem

I turned on my monitor a few days ago and the screen will not display properly in 800x600, the screen is right in the middle and takes up a small part of the screen i can set it to higher resolutions but 800x600 is best for my monitor

Hi,

in the properties of display, settings, advanced, somewhere there you can set the output to your TFT to be scaled to fullscreen.

You don't think ? Well, a TFT and a CRT are so different, you should know that for sure what you've got
Anyways, what is the brand and model of your monitor ?

If you connect another monitor to your PC, does it display the picture correctly then ?
If so, then I guess your monitor doesn't remember the settings anymore (I've seen that already, but I don't know what you can do about it).
