Dear Friends,
Earlier I had taken guidance to get my USB problem solved in this forum only. My earlier set up was 10+17GB HDD , Intel Celeron 433mhz with Win 98se and XP. I had installed a pci 4 port USB port from Otolink UH241. Windows recognised the same and started working when I fixed on my PCI slot and booted. No I replaced both the HDD with 40GB hdd totally 2 new hdds of 40gb each. I had to install win98se and Winxp . Now this USB port ins not being recognised. Infact it is not being recognised while booting itself. Actually in WinXP and Win98se, this is being recognised as Intel 80821 usb or so. But any device connected to any of the 4 ports does not get recognised it means my port itself not recognised correctly. Actually earlier (before replacing the HDDs), while booitg itself I used to see 4 ports being identified and later in the device manager, I used to see 4 entries in the USB. But now with the new setup I see only only one entry and USB not working. I installed and deinstalled from Device manager but nothing helped. Any body can guide me please. Regards, Srinath India |

Do you have a drivers CD or floppy for you card?
You could try reinstalling the drivers from the CD You could also try completely removing the hardware from your PC, to see if it disappears in device manager, if it does, try reinstalling the drivers, and then reinserting the card. |
