Apollo Printer Install Probs
My brother is trying to install an Apollo 2500 series printer on his XP box. He has tried all the troubleshooting steps we can find, registry fixes, usb uninstall reinstall, add printer wizard, manufacturers install software, and he keeps getting the error, the environment specified is invalid. I have found a million things on google for that error, few related to printers, or usb it seems. Are we missing something obvious? His specs, 750 mhz athlon, 256 mb, 20gb, 10 free, usb interface, other usb devices working normally. I see glc isn't impressed with apollo products, should he pitch the printer? Thanks!

http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=120296 They aren't BAD printers when they work - they are based on HP. However, the brand support is long gone, if you can't get it working on XP, there are only 2 things you can really do - install it on a machine that has a different OS that you have drivers for, or pitch it. |
