Can a powerstream fit in a lian li 1100 case?
Was wondering if the 470 watt powerstream from ocz would fit alright in the lian li v1100? If not , is there a way to mod the case so it fits right?

As long as the power supply is a ATX and the case is a ATX, they'll fit and work together.
It looks like the OCZ is ATX power supply and will fit into a Lian Li V1100. Cricket

Sorry...I didn't know that Lian Li has an unconventional case layout. It looks like it uses a PSU plate on the back that is held on with thumb screws...you might be able to make a spacer to move this plate away from the case to make room for the OCZ power supply.

Well , I hear that you can actually have the psu sit outside of the case if its too big , but I really wanted to avoid that. I also wanted to avoid having it stick out further from the case. Oh well , i guess its not a perfect world. But maybe they will make a plus version of this case and improve the space for the psu , I dont know why they havent already. I appreciate your input cricket
. If I cant find another way to do this , I probably try doing that. Somewhere I found a forum where they show how to mod the case , so the psu can fit. But , now I cant find it. If anyone out there knows where that link might be , I would appreciate it. Thanks guys

I'm thinking about buying the lian-li v1100b case and want to know if the lian-li elite black panel with the two fans would fit if I put it upside down because otherwise all the air from the fans goes to the drive bays and no where else.
Heres the link to the case I'm talking about- http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...112-073&depa=1 Heres the link for the Elite Side Panel- http://www.frozencpu.com/cpa-69.html I really like the case but the front case fan only blows onto the hard drives and I'm not sure if the air can go through that little duct. I also want to know if an enlight 420 watt psu would fit in there. |
