DVD drive unresponsive
I have this Aopen dvd burner drive and it worked great. The one in my sig. Then this morning I got up to watch a DVD and it refused to work. I said I didn't even have a E drive. Only my D drive.(48x cd drive). Any thoughts. I took the cover off it and made sure it had a power cable and ribbon cable hooked up. It did. I need help, did it die on me? It is/was 2 weeks old.
HELP Thanx

Thanx for the link but I didn't find anything about the PC not recognizing(sp) a drive. I only saw troubleshooting error messages. But I think I have fixed it, I tried a different wire from the PSU and it worked. The plug that had been there was kinda loose, I was wondering if perhaps the vibrations maybe loosen the connection or somrthing. I swear the plug was connected earlier though. I'll be ashamed of myself if I didn't notice it was unplugged.
Thanx for the link again, I used it on fixing an old drive I had though. |
