Dead Laptop, Want To Read Drive
My friend has a dead laptop and she wants to be able to read the information off of the hard drive. I don't know much about laptops, but could i somehow pry it open and hook the drive up to a desktop to read the drive, or would I need something else? The laptop had begun to smoke at one point, so they stopped using it, but could we get the drive out of there safely? Thanks alot

You can try to read it. You will need an adapter to use it with a conventional external drive and a PC, like this....
http://www.cablestogo.com/product.as...=906&sku=17705 There is a good chance the HDD in the laptop can slide right out, it is probably under a small door on the bottom. What kind of laptop is it? |
