Hi, I have a harddrive that died on a laptop and I sent off the harddrive with that little black thing that that is attached to the harddrive (like a ribbon interface for these small laptop harddrives). Does anyone know what that is called and where I could maybe buy one at. I must have lost my mind thinking that I did remove before sending and now I just need to go buy one. If only I knew what it was called.
It goes to a toshiba p25-s607. Hope someone knows what the heck I am talking about Ezestuff- Always |

found out
These things have a few diffrent names but of course not the correct parts anywhere except for maybe in the UK.
on this toshiba website called nationalparts.com I just typed in hdd connector and the connector came up for the p25. Must be typical. I remember that day I was working on a couple of laptops on my desk and one harddrive was bad (by the way it took Toshiba repair and service to return me a new one since 13 Dec 2004 to yesterday to get it to me) anyways hope I never forget to remove that piece again. Names that I found in case anyone wants to know is IDC box header or hood and hdd caddy connector, the caddy connector had a more similar picture and then the easy one from toshiba was just hdd connector. Ezestuff - Sure
