Unhappy cannot see HDD on My Computer

Hi !

I recently installed a HDD as a slave. This HDD was partationed into 3 drives. I formatted each drive (right click on the drive and hit format ). I wanted to join the HDD in to one so I went to " Disk Management " in control Panel and I accidentally deleted all the partationed volumes listed. I deleted all the partation's in the drivw. Now its showing the entire drive as Unallocated.

How can i bring back this drive into my system. I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them, my device manager detects the HDD but my computer doesn't list it and I cannot get access to it.

Any help would be apprecated

If it's showing the entire drive as unallocated, you need to format it through Disk Management.

You deleted all the partitions? Thats why Windows doesn't see the drive now...the hard drive must be partitioned and each partition formatted before Windows can use it.

Check out my post in this thread. I have links to Microsoft articles on partitioning and formatting a hard drive with WinXP Disk Management.
