PATA? parallel ata?
hi i hav an old dell id like to supe up with a new 250gb 16mb maxtor harddrive. The problem is my ide interface supports ata-133 and scsi will it support parallel ata?

ata-133 is pata. pata is the typical connection that every motherboard has on it

It's just another one of those things just to confuse you, cause standard IDE interface for drives have been PATA all along but you just never heard it called that, but now that there is SATA, they are using the term PATA to differentiate between the new and the old.
