7 Fans already installled? Well, thats a little excessive... 2 will do for most anyone. I had two in my overclocked computer. 7 would be an airplane at your feet. The powersupply is by a brand I dont recall, so unless I am forgetting it, it would have to be replaced with a more dependable brand(a sticky somewhere round here about PSU's). Don't know about prices.

what exactly do you like about the case... More fans is not necessarily better... and makes for an excessively loud tower...
Yes that power supply is fine, a good thermaltake 420Watt should more than power just about any configuration you might want... what else is going in the machine... Last edited by JPMiller; 02-10-2005 at 01:01 AM. |

That case and psu are very good quality, and you shouldn't have any problem running the system you posted, But like mentioned above 7 fans is overkill and loud and that case is huge. I think if I was going to spend that kind of money on a case, I would get a nice Lian LI with a quality psu and add case fans of my choice.

A 420W Silent Purepower is a Thermaltake PSU? Hmm, wouldn't have guessed that...

Ive got the thermaltake xaser v6000+ it comes with 5 fans , and including the 2 in the psu , and the one on the cpu , and the one on the nforce chipset, and the one on the x800xt graphics card , it runs near enough silent !!!
any case by thermaltake is quality, go buy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend has that exact case and it is exceptionally well built. I on the other hand purchcased a Lian-Li pc v2000 case. It has a ton of space and runs off of silent 120mm case fans. There are 2 installed in the case from lian-li. It is also an exceptional case and keeps all the components well cooled and the interior clean looking.
