fan filters

i got this case Thermaltake Highest Xaser III Super Tower Case with 420W Power Supply, Model "V2420A
and i was wondering how do u clean the fan filters

Clean them with a vacuum cleaner. Or if they're removeable, run them under a faucet.

Filters I've seen use a fine nylon mesh. My nephew's computer has them and I've run them under the faucet lots of times and they're still okay. They tend to get clogged up pretty quickly...that's why I don't use 'em. As they get clogged up, the air flow through them gets reduced. I just blow my computers out every other month or so.
