Question Quick question motherboard to lay where? carboard box

Ok quick question.

Can a card board box collect static?
For example a motherboard box.

And Do pepole ever use the inside of the box to lay the motherboard down after taking it out of the anti-static bag?
Or do they all just pop it on the top of the motherboard box no biggy?

I'm just asking becuse I touched the top of the box a few times, and was kind of unconfident in laying it down on the surface to the box, but what do you all think, another paranoia thing?

If it has a metallic foil design I guess it could.

I've placed the motherboard inside the motherboard box after removing it from the anti-static bag. No problems.

If you're really worried about using the motherboard box, place the motherboard down on a piece of plain cardbox...or put it on the table surface.

Let me guess...you haven't started assembling your computer yet.
