I like www.mwave.com

Fair prices and shipping. They carry good brands too.

I've had good luck with www.tcwo.com and www.pcprogress.com, www.crazypc.com and www.caseetc.com for cooling. All had decent shipping prices.

Axion isn't bad either.

http://www.axiontech.com

I order all my cooling gear from 2cooltek

http://www.2cooltek.com

I've also dealt with mwave, and would recommend them. Didn't have a problem even when I've ordered overnight shipping.

I too am thinking of building my 1st PC. Does anyone have any experience ordering from TigerDirect? They seem to have pretty good prices. I know of one guy who ordered from them and he didn't get what he ordered. I'm not sure if this was an isolated incident or what. TIA for your help!

Talking Good sites

I just built my first computer from scratch and I purchased the mobo/cpu/case from adamant.com - They had the best price on this barebones system, quick service, cheap shipping and I got everything that I asked for. Also try achiva.com for barebones systems, ect.

Tiger is ok for some things, but I wouldn't buy a whole computer full of parts there. They're not as inexpensive as they seem.

Search for prices at http://www.pricewatch.com

Check up on the resellers in your list when you're done at http://www.resellerratings.com

Thanks Xayd. I checked out Resellerratings.com and it really opened up my eyes. Especially with my suspicions about TigerDirect. Thanks again!

Tiger Direct sells a lot of PC Chips garbage - and their prices on name brand stuff aren't that hot.

Tiger carries a few decent brands of motherboards, but they like to push their "house brand" boards in cheap packages. You guessed it: the boards are PC Chips garbage. What I like about www.mwave.com is that they only carry good name brands like Asus, Abit, Epox, Soyo, etc.
