Personally I think it is hideous. I'll stick with my CoolerMaster case. Ahhh.... Aluminum.

"Red" paint use to be more expensive to produce. So, for things like cars, it would cost more to cover a car in red than in, say, blue. Don't think it's worth $20, though... Maybe it's just because it's more "sexy" ??

A better question might be, Why are the Blue and Green cases $20.00 less on newegg.
the red case is the same price as www.xoxide.com .

I like the new concept. Not my personal taste however.

I like it because it it different. I am always looking for new inovative ideas. Heck we could still be driving 74 malibu's and playing CS 1.6 if people didn't go with progress

I personally like the looks but the price is a bit too much (I'd prefer to spend more money on the hardware).

It's kinda like have a storm troopers head sitting on your desk. ASUS really made a bold statement with this case. People will at least talk about it. I am a big ASUS fan like many other users here, but I will wait until they come out with something more conservative, but not beige. I must have brushed aluminum.

Some of the engineered features look nice....mainly the hatchback styled front. But, from what I can see it's a style that has already been done. I would have been more impressed if ASUS would have come up with something more unique. Maybe a collapsable side door. I'm sure the case is well put together like their boards are, and I hope that if this case tanks ASUS doesn't give up on their case manufacturing venture.

The thing I'm wondering is companies usually poll the public or a select group..they usually don't take huge risks. Who did they poll then? Heavy Gamers...Highend users...who? That's probably why the design looks more like it does. Then again I could be completely wrong.

Especially since the only computer mag review I've read on it said it is a very flimsy case and the door broke during the review.

Oi, there was nothing wrong with CS 1.6
And I personally don't find it attractive, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it ugly.
Thought I'd just attach something that occurred to me the moment I saw the pic, it made me laugh. (and didnt take 500 hours on mspaint, just 30 seconds)

I like simple designs but still looks good and enough cooiling system. I like the Tsunami by Thermaltake, It's simply beautiful. MGE XG Titanium is also beautiful. I also like the Black Aurora casing by Alienware. But its not for sale. The ASUS case is too flashy.

I'll be auctioning it off on EBay with a reserve price of $500... see you there

I couldn't believe it when I saw it, it just looked so much like it I had to help the case designers out a little. Now that I think of it, though, I'm genuinely tempted to use that case for my next build and turn it into a face... my girlfriend will laugh and think I'm nuts, but who cares. I'd laugh

That's $490 more than I wanted to spend.

LOL, nice one Jagg. I personnaly don't care for the case much either.

Asus has succeed with the case in a way, they have brought up large discussion about their new case making venture.
