Generic Lexmark ink cartriges

When I bought my digital camera, i got one of those free printer deals. its a lexmark Z705 printer. But replacement ink cartriges are soooo expensive (about $45 in most of our stores). Ive thought about manually refilling, but heard some pretty bad horror stories about them. I was wondering if anybody knows if generic or 3rd party ink cartridges are available for Lexmark printers, specifically the model I have. I know I can get ones to support my canon printer, but so far Ive been at a loss to find Lexmark ones.

TIA,
CN

I have the same printer and just paid 29.99 at Best Buy for the BW cartridge.
you can buy from bestbuy online or compusa or here are a few discount websites that sell refurbed and remanufactured cartridges..

I would think so, most of those online cheap cartridge suppliers are selling refilled old cartridges.
I have had reasonable service from mrinkman, 123inkjets and inkjets.

Yeah, well since that printer was a freebie, i guess it couldnt hurt to try and see If I can pull off doing my own refills (i havent had a real challenge in awhile ). So, ill have to look around, cause around here, there doesnt seem to be too much in 3rd party lexmark cartriges. And with that note in mind, i'd be saving money by getting another canon i320 (approx $79 CDN at some stores), and get 3rd party cartriges that way.

I personally have not had much luck with the refurbed/remanufactured/refilled cartridges. They have not really proved out to be a cost savings since I have not had any of them last very long, I have found myself really putting out more money for them, and I no longer buy them, I have went back to buying full retail new cartridges..

well AFAIK, the 3rd party brand I use for my canon is Dynex. I know ive heard the name before, but so far, they seem to be doing a pretty good job with my black ink.
