When will AMD boards support DDR2?
I've been out of the computer gaming world for many years and instaed find myself moping around on xbox live and throwing darts at my ancient p3. But the day has finally come and i will be gaming very soon, but on what system i will build on im not sure.
I see that AMD outperforms Intel in games but they don't support all future devices yet. I know ddr is still faster than ddr2 but i would rather get RAM that i can stick with for another build. So when does AMD plan to support DDR2? |

AMD is expected to move to DDR2 when the standard speed settles down to about DDR2-800. DDR2 isn't supported yet as AMD will have to start manufactoring entirely new chips with a memory controller than can support DDR2
