p4p-800-e delux>>s-ata hdd problem

Hello

i bough a new s-ata 250 gb with 16 mb cache yesterday and got some weird problems.spent over 6 hours yesterday to figure it out but cant find a solution , so im hoping u guys can help me.

after installing the hdd properly and connected the data cable to the sata plug on the motherboard and the powercable, istarted the pc and run the windows setup program.

i pressed f6 to install the sata drivers that came with my motherboard, and the setup sees the hdd.

i created 3 partitions and formatted the first 1 and install windows on it...no problems at all

now running windows i get all sorts of errors, i writed 2 down :

kernel_data_inpage_error
stop: 0x0000007a

stop: 0x000000ce

then in forced to restart the computer..so i hit the reset button on my pc

then my hdd is gone and isnt shown in my bios anymore, so i shutdown the pc..and wait some seconds/turned it back on..and the hdd is back..and windows starts normally

but i get the same errors again..it always happens when i install stuff

like sp2 or any big program

can anybody help me out....i dont know what to do next....also i changed the sata data cable with a other 1...but that doesnt help either

also i thing u might want to know...that it is the only hdd that i have in my system

Introduction to Stop Errors

"Stop errors in a nutshell are errors that are serious enough to cause Windows to stop. They are similar to the blue screen errors that were present on Windows 9x, however there is no option to try and resume the session in a Windows NT Stop Error (Windows 2000 and all XP members included)."

I would run manufacturer's diagnostics on the hard drive and run memtest86+ on your ram.
