Question

Hope that someone can set me straight on this... I've been looking for a board to put together a new system that I can overclock..
I'm taking the advice that I got here at PC Mec. and I want to get the Abit BE6-II.....

I see that they are offered for sale as "Rev.2"... I would like to get a Celeron II 566mHz for this setup... My question is will the 566 run on this board???? The Abit web site shows the specs only go to 533 without a BIOS update...

If I need to flash the BIOS I will HAVE to go with a 533... Since it's "Rev.2" does that mean that the 566 WILL work?? I've never flashed a BIOS before and I'm a little apprehensive about giving it a try...

I just would like to know if the 566 will work on the board right out of the box, BEFORE I spend my cash on a cpu that I can't use.... I've checked a few other message boards and others seem to be using this combo just fine...

Maybe I'm just being dumb about all of this, the more I read the more I get..

Thanks... Riesz

I would go back to the web page and ask the same question to there tech support via e-mail. thinking that would be the best source for that kind of info.
