Bought a new heatsink ... need a fan

I'm running an LGA775 3.2ghz P4 and just bought a new Swiftech heatsink for it:
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...108-062&depa=1

It doesn't come with a fan and I didn't purchase one yet as I'm a little confused as to what type of fan I should buy for it.

My motherboard is an ASUS P5AD2-E Premium and the CPU fan monitor is a 4-pin insert (the stock P4 heatsink/fan uses the 4-pin wire to monitor cpu fan speed as well). After looking at some fans on newegg I can only find fans with 3-pin chassis fans.

Can someone suggest a good CPU fan to use with this heatsink? I need it to be 80x80x25 and it needs to be at least 30 CFM (more would be nice as I'm thinking about overclocking my chip).

I'm pretty new to fan speeds (and all the other fan specs) so any additional info to look out for would be great!

Thanks,
kisk

How about this adjustable RPM fan?

hmm ... well after doing a little research I found that the stock 775 P4 fan uses the normal 3-pin connection, but also incorporates a 4th pin, which connects to a blue wire on the fan. Looking at the 4-pin cpu fan insert on my mobo it looks like I could actually just use a regular 3-pin fan.

Does anyone know what this 4th pin/wire is used for? I'm wondering if it's possibly used in the bios to disable the variable speed or something. Could I just plug a 3-pin fan in the 4-pin slot and not have a problem?

Ive read that the 4-pin slot is backward compatitble with the 3-pin setup. I think the instructions on the CPU installation say something about that, im not too sure where though.

I looked at my mobo manual and the pins are listed as:

- GND
- CPU FAN PWR
- CPU FAN IN
- CPU FAN PWM (this is the extra one)

If the extra pin *is* the RPM sensor, I'm guessing I should definitely try to find a fan that utilizes it otherwise the fan would probably run at full speed constantly. Not that its really a bad thing. What do you guys think?
