HD Enclosures
Having a couple of hard drives that I could use if I had a HD enclosure I am confused. Most are enclosures for 3.5" drives. Mine all measure 4.0" What am I missing? (besides brains). Recomendations?

Can't say that I would have thought to measure.
I happen to have two drives sitting next to me. One is a four years old Segate and the other is a one year old WD. Both measure 4" and I'm ceratain they'd fit in my 3.5" enclosure.

I think the 3.5" measurement refers to the size of the platters inside the hard drive housing, not the housing itself.
If they're standard IDE hard drives, they'll fit in 3.5" external drive housings. Cricket

Thanks
Thanks for the quick replies! I will get one! I know a 2x4 is 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 but never thought it applied to hard drives! Ha..........
