That temp is fine. Are you experiencing any system instability?

How's your case cooling setup? How many case fans do you have in there?

i have the xaser3 so i have 7 fans in my case and i usaly keep the side cover off. i dont really know what instablity means for computers. but i just get worried when playen that it is getting to hot so i jus wanted to make sure it is ok,because i wasnt sure if i put the thermalpaste on smooth enuf or what ever. do you think i should replace the thermalpaste again? and also wil the motherboard turn the fans up automaticaly for the cpu if the cpu gets hotter. i herd the temp readings for the uguru motherboards were to high though, i dont know if its true but i read it in a reveiw for the board

50 degrees is nothing to be worried about, anything over 60 you can start fretting

But not too much, they're stronger than you think ;-)

if you have 7 case fans and you feel you must remove the side cover, something is wrong.
removing the side cover distroys the air flow path needed for proper cooling.
double check that the air flow is from the lower front to exaust at the top rear, good air flow will get rid of any heat and it will not build up.

Why? What happens when you leave the cover on? Does the temps go even higher?

If the temps are too high you'll get freezes, reboots or shutdowns.

No.

Run the computer with the case side on. As bailey said, it's there to help control the air flow paths through your computer.
