CD drives broken??
Hey guys, my CD and CD-R Drives are not being recognized and i dont know why. I have a Dell 2400 and its 6 months old. about a week ago i tried to burn a CD and it wouldnt work so i went into the device manager and next to the 2 drives are the little yellow exclamation marks. So i tried to update the drivers but that didnt work. I dont know what else to do. I dont think they are broken because when i put a CD in there it still spins it but it just wont read it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much, Chad

Double click on the flagged drives and look for the reason or error code.
Have you called Dell support? |

i would call but it takes to long to stay on hold. I doble clicked the flagged drive and this is what it says: Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41). If there is any help you can give me that would be great. Thanks
