Does my motherboard have a RAID-0 controller?

Greetings,

I recently got a dell computer for my birthday that has a single 40Gb SATA hard drive. I just looked on this website and noticed the article on RAID-0/Striping. I am very interested in implementing that into my system. I was just wondering however if my motherboard might possibly have a RAID controller built in. I have checked the bios and I see some stuff regarding RAID-0 RAID-1 etc. Would that imply that it is installed?

What model DELL do you have? Do you have any documentation regarding the motherboard?

If the motherboard supports SATA hard drives and it has two SATA ports on the motherboard, it might support RAID. But it's best to check with DELL about this.
