Partitioning?
do i have to partitan my hard drive?

Technically yes. But it doesn't have to be multiple partitions. It can be one big C: partition. That is the easiest way, but a simple security step is to make 2 partitions, one for Windows, One for data like photos, mp3's, etc.,
The reason is if Windows "breaks", or get's infected with a virus you just can't recover from, you can just format the Windows partition and reinstall it, without ever touching the other partition. All you data sits there for nice clean install...
