Storage question

Hey guys i was just wondering if i have some 700MB cd's is there anyway onther then zipping the files to compress them enough to fit on the cd's? I have a sing folder with all my music in it and i wanted to burn it all to a cd to move it all to another computer. The folder is around 4.00GB big (which obv needs to be broken down) but now i have currently 10 sperate folders with the music spread out among them so they are all around 700MB or less. Is there a way to compress the files so i could maybe put like three folders to a disk or is this just not possible? Thanks in advance -

If the computers aren't networked together, you could just remove the hard drive with all your songs on it, slave it to the hard drive in the other computer and then move the songs through Windows Explorer. That's what I would do.

Depends which format the music is in - if it's already a compressed format (like .mp3) you aren't going to be able to compress them much more, if at all.

That is the fastest way to do it. I usually just disconnect the CD in the new computer and hook up the old hard drive to it. That way I don't have to mess with the jumpers on the HD.
