External HDD gadget

I thought I read somewhere about a nifty gadget that would allow you to use standard internal HDDs as external USB drives. Anybody know anything about it?

Maybe. It was a device that would allow you to use a regular HDD for external storage, rather than buying expensive external drives. It somehow adapted internal HDDs for external use. So you could, for example, run a couple of standard 3.5" internal HDDs as storage drives for your laptop.
