USB Flash drive not working properly

Hi guys. i am using a buffalo flashdrive and i was working fine. however today i discovered that window doesn't recognize my USB 2.0 ports! (i am using an Asus A7V8X-MX motherboard and it comes with 6 USB 2.0/1.1 ports.) can anyone tell me why this happens?

PS. i have SP2 and all the latest drivers from windows installed.

any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Cool

Has power management been turned on for your USB root hubs? Start > Control Panel > open System > select Hardware tab > select Device Manager > expand USB controllers > right click USB Root Hub > select Power Management tab. See if "Allow system to turn this device off to save power is checked. Uncheck if it is. Do this for all root hubs.
