3D Mark 05 w/ 6800 GT

Hello

My friend has just recieved a computer with a 3.8 Ghz P4 and a Nvidia 6800 GT GPU. I ran 3D Mark 05 and got a score of 4888, I thought this was a little low so I updated with the latest Nvidia drivers. I ran the test again and got the same score. My other friend has a 3.0 Ghz P4 and a 6800 GT and he got a score of 13000 in 3D Mark 03. How could the scores be so different?

Specs:

3.8 Ghz P4
1 GB Ram
6800 GT GPU

well first of all, he's running 3dmark03 and you're running 05. a 6800GT should score in the 5k's tho. try closing all programs in the background and running 05 again

Yeah, its easier to get a higher score in 3d Mark 03 than 05.
