A New Hard Drive With A Different OS

I have a spare HD that I want to retrieve some info from and then F disk it. On my current system I'm running XP pro and the spare drive I've been running millenium. Will there be any issues if I attached the old HD to my current system as the slave drive? Could I then extract all the data I want and then wipe it / reformat it with the current HD?

Nope.

Yep, you can extract all the data and then reformat it. But your other HD will remain unaffected. Formatting one hard drive does not format the other one, too, the partitions are independent to the others.
