Dynamic Drive Overlay, reinstall issue, Maxtor Drive

Hi There

I have just reinstalled my XP Operating system with SP1. At the moment I cannot access my Primary Slave Hard Drive (Maxtor 6B300RO) 300GB. I knew that the O/S re-install would mean that I would have to reinstall the DDO. However I believe that in the process of doing so that I have told the MaxBlast software to remove the DDO from the drive.
I want to know how I can reinstall the DDO for this drive or at least access the data on the drive so that I can remove it and reintall it from scratch.
The MaxBalst 4 software (From Maxtor Website) can see the two partitions that I had created on this drive but I can't see a way to re-enable the DDO. There is the option to add the DDO to a boot disk, which I have tried, got to the boot prompt and wasn't sure how to boot windows.

During my research into the problem I have come accross two other possibilities 1) Upgrading the Bios (have Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG 22/07/2004 at the moment) or 2) Buying a PCI ATA controller. Of Which, I'm not sure if either would solve the problem of accessing the data on the drive at the moment after I told the DDO to remove.

Any assisstance would be greatly appreicated.

The choice to add the overlay to the boot disk is what allows the non ddo drive to see the overlaid one.
You may end up having to add the overlay on the c: and then doing a repair on the OS.

Haven't used the package with any 9x stuff so it is really out of my league.

Removing the DDO may have made the data permanently inaccessible and you will need data recovery software. This is one reason I try to stay away from a DDO, and DDO's in general cause a lot of problems with 2K/XP.
