DVD burner software question
For anyone that got Nero Express with their DVD burner, does it allow you to make a backup copy of a DVD??
My current Lite-On burner came with Sonic MyDVD and it will allow you to make data backups and various movies and slideshows, but it will not let me "backup copy" of a DVD. Daughter brought home a baseball highlights DVD that was made by the ball club. It will play on the computer, in the DVD standalone player OK. When I copied the DVD to a folder on my HDD and then did a burn from that folder as a backup, it showed a totally different file name and would not play on any of the players, either the standalones or the internal computer DVD player. Looking to buy a new burner that is twice as fast and dual layer (for half of what I paid for this one). Comes with Nero Express. Thus the reason for my question. |

If you trying to BACKUP protected DVD's then you will need a bit more then NERO Express. Not sure if I can get into trouble for saying anymore so I'll just leave it at that.

If you want to backup a DVD, get DVD Decrypter (for ripping and burning) und DVD Shrink (for shrinking DVD-9 to DVD-5, if needed).
It should also work fine with DVDs made by a standalone DVD recorder (I think that's what your DVD is, right ?)
