Question: Pc Celeron Related

Hey there,
i got this computer that is a Celeron, it has 64mbs of ram (i know its a bit slow and yes it is old) now, i was intenting to install a cd or dvd writer on it but i do not know whether it will handle it or i have to upgrade it first. The thing is that i will be buying a new system soon enough but i still got loads of information on it and need to format it in any ways. so the question is...

CAN I PUT A CD/DVD writer on it without making any faults??

DOES THE CELERON 64mbs of RAM HANDLE IT?

Regards,

64MB with a CDRW is no problem... but for a DVDRW, there is a lotta data being transferred... more RAM is more than likely recommended.... what speed of Celeron is it and what OS are you running on it?

i'm guessing its one of the early celerons.. and so CPU power might be a concern too..
