video card problems with new build

hi guys this is my first build ive had it running for about a week now and its worked good up til now.

i was just starting to overclock it and was getting some fair results considering i dont know what im doing. the cpu is a northwood p4 2.8 800 fsb.

i was using asus overclocking utility to and i was gettin to 3.4 before it would
become unstable or freez up. in the bios there is a setting for enhanced memory
suppost to lower latency between chipset and cpu but it cautions that it could make your system unstable.
so i set cpu back to 2.8 tried the enhanced memory setting and it gave me 10 more fps in cs source video stress test. so i left it on and started overclocking again on my next try at oc it crashed with a blue screen saying windows has shutdown to prevent damage to your pc.

then it tries to reboot only to come back to same blue screen over and over again.

ive reset the bios to default ive went to asus sight got the latest version of there bios and flashed it in with no improvment.
so i pulled the vid card bfg 6800gt with zalman cooler and replaced it with an old fx 5200 i got from another pc and the pc booted up and ran it said windows is recovering form a serious error and wanted to send a report it also said that it had repaired the registry. i had to reinstall the video drivers but it all seemed good after that.

so i toook the gt put it in an old pc an hp p4 1.5 socket 423 i think the agp is 4x not 8 started it up and it works at 4x . installed drivers for it and it seems fine .

so put the gt back in the new the original pc that had problems same thing wont boot up i either get a blue screen windows has shutdown to protect your pc then it tries to reboot.
sometimes windows seems to start but its a black screen the windows startup music is all garbled and you can here a chime like something from the taskbar like windows is alearting you to somthin but of course i cant see a thing i just hold power button down till i can get it shut off .


im lost here i can use all the help i can get

asus p4p800-e delux
zalman cnps 7700-cu
mushkins pc3500 ddr433 1gb
bfg 6800gt with zalman cooler on it
2 wd raptors 74gig in raid o
my psu is the one that came with the case 400 watt antec
and im running winxp pro sp2
