smokin Sony Microvault

I am having a SONY MICROVAULT 256MB USB pen drive.It was working alright.Of late whenever i plug into any windows machine and click on the removable drive icon the message"Insert disc into drive" comes and i am unable to use it.What could have gone wrong.Please advise.

It sounds like the pen drive has gone bad. The bad part is that there is nothing to repair, once it's bad you throw it away.

You could also have corrupted the datat on the pen drive. Before you get rid of it and assuming you have nothing critical saved on the drive, format it. I once just pulled my pen drive from the port without going through the ADD REMOVE function and had a similar problem. A quick format solved the problem. HTH
