Resizing NTFS partition
Hi,
I was trying to resize my 7GB (win XP) partition with Norton Partition Magic 8. This is the way it was: C: +/- 7 GB (Primary, with XP on it) D: +/- 7 GB (Logical, with XP on it) E: +/- 65 GB (Logical, for data purposes) (These partitions are located on one Maxtor 80 GB disk) I wanted to redistribute free space from E: to C: So I used the "Redistribute free space..." option within Partition Magic. When the proces completed its tasks, I got back in Windows XP and noticed that the C: partition wasn't changed. However there was free space gone from the E: partition. I opened op Partition Magic again and noticed that the reallocated free space was moved in an "Unallocated" section of the drive. It was labeled "logical". I don't wanna screw up some other stuff so I'd like to ask if somebody can tell me how I can move the unallocated space to the C: partition? Thanks in advance, PiC P.S. I posted also an attachment with the on screen info form Partition Magic, the way I'm seeing it now. |

Move E as far to the right as you can, then move D as far to the right as you can, then resize C as far to the right as you can.
