Startup problem with MSI K8N Neo4 MOBO
i installed this motehrboard yesterday and after getting windows to run, everything was going well....i had left the computer on for about 10 hours while windows restored all my backup data
so today in the morning i trun on the computer, and i hear this really weird fan noise (not sure if its the pwoer supply or the cpu fan) and after a few seconds the fan noise stopped.....at startup, the motehrboard gives me two choices...i can either press after about 15 minutes of the same screen, i decided to leave it and go to the other room....i come back about 40 minutes later and its at the point where the motherboard was checking for all the drives BUT it had 2 messages in a bold white color....one message was regarding the ram, and how its single channel..and the other said something in the line of SYSTEM IS NOW IN SAFE MODE. PLEASE ACCESS BIOS TO CONFIGURE CPU OVERCLOCKING.... so i go into BIOS and i see that all the settings from yesterday were gone, so i proceeded to reconfigure all the settings and i saved and exited....after that , the computer restarted, but its still stuck at the same startup screen.... can anyone please tell me whats possibly wrong? thank you |
