Turn On Printer Without Power Button

Is there a way to turn on the printer through some kind of command on the comp itself, a program maybe that turns on peripherals or somthing.

whats the point of that?

im looking at this voice activating stuff. (Realize Voice) got a trial, works pretty nice, and i dont even have my "voice trained". not really necessary, but for the .... hmmm, what do you call a person who cant turn on the vcr no matter how much you help them? the kind of person who puts 1.50 on the microwave, thinking thats a minute and a half...anyway

if there is a way to turn the printer on through the comp, then i can set a voice command for it, then my dad would be able to print, or make copies without bothering me.

I dont want the printer constantly on either, its also a fax, and i do not have 2 phone lines, so if the printer is on, no one can call.

I've never heard of a program that will do that. My printer just turns on by itself when I click print.
