Motherboard upgrade....Couple of questions...

I'm going to upgrade my MoBo from an ECS M921LR to a ECS PM800-M2... the biggest difference being that the PM800-M2 has a SATA option - which I wont be using right now - Would there be any problem just swapping it over without having to reinstall window's, etc....I'm running XP pro......Or is there a way around it.....

Appreciate any advice....

Thanks in advance...

You won't know till you try. You may have to do a repair reinstall of Windows over the top, you will not lose any data.

Except for service packs and critical updates they will have to be reinstalled.
