What will I need for a internet connection on a laptop?
I know nothing about laptops and how they differ from "regular" pc's. I need a cheap, reliable laptop for basic things. I'm thinking about going for this: http://www1.us.dell.com/content/prod...=04&l=en&s=bsd
What will i need to give it internet access wirelessly? |

Get a laptop with Wi-Fi capability and you won't have to get anything else. The wireless capability is built into a Wi-Fi capable laptop.

this laptop comes equiped with a builtin wireless network card, a wired network card port and a dial up modem connection, so no matter how you connect to the internet this laptop has it. all pcs now a days have all of these connections to get on the internet.
you will need a wireless router to be able to go wireless with your broadband cable modem or dsl internet connection, otherwise you can connect to an existing wireless network if permitted to do so.
