New HDD wont boot from CD
I have just installed a new HHD 80gb, tried to install Windows 98, so ran FDISK and set up partition, tried to format it but it wont format. Deleted the partition and then put my XP home edition into the D drive, "Creative CD Rom". Changed CMOS to boot from CDROM as first Boot. System does not run the cd. Any Ideas as to what to do.

Is you XP cd a copy of an original?
