7-N-1 drive needs USB port.
This is a sanity check……..
In this computer build I am using one of those 7-N-1 “A” drives. This type of drive uses a IDE cable and a “A” drive port. It also needs a USB port/connector. Since I will not be using the gaming hardware that comes with the ASUS A8N-E mobo I can use one of the freed USB ports on the motherboard. Correct? I think the answer is yes. BUT I thought I should verify now and NOT be sorry later! Thanks! ![]() P.S. The USB plug coming from the 7-N-1 "A" drive matches perfectly with the USB connector on the mobo.
