Question Water Cooling kit

I am just about to purchase a new water cooling kit, the Coolermaster Aquagate as i have a coolermaster case. The kit uses 80mm fan and radiator all encased into an alloy box that fits into two 5 1/4 bays and comes with a CPU block.

What i want to know is could i expand the system to include chipset and GPU by adding the required water blocks from Danger Den?

Or would this raise the water temp too much and compromise the cooling effects of the Aquagate?

I have read reviews that states the Aquagate is a good water cooler, better than any air cooling but not the best water cooler on the market.

Thanks, in advance.

What is the heat removing capacity of the Aquagate? Its measured in watts of heat. It should easily handle any watt CPU and a chipset I would think.

First...if you can...get a 120mm cooling fan. They are much quieter than the 80mm fans. One of the nice reasons for watercooling is a quieter computer.

Dont worry about the additional heat from the chipset fan. The amount of heat produced by the chipset compared to the waters ability to remove heat is almost nothing. Just make sure you use the same diameter hose for the CPU cooling block as you are going to use for the chipset block.

-OR-

Run the chipset tubing parallel and not in series with the CPU.

In your case running them in series is better because it insures both heat producers get adequatly cooled.

Only after you a have a number of heat producers do you consider running the tubing in parallel.

Ok thanks,

I have bought one and will be using it to cool both CPPU and Northbridge.

That water cooling kit's not bad (although a tad overpriced). You could probably find a VGA and Hard Drive Block as well if you wanted.

I'm pretty sure the Aquagate was rated as the best watercooling kit out there by one of the PC forums, so you should be happy with it. Tell us how it goes
