Question Better OC in single channel vs dual channel?

I've got my OC rock solid stable @ 240 x 10 so long as I'm only running 1 DIMM of my 512MB Hyper-X RAM.... could be either DIMM... But as soon as I add the second 512MB DIMM to run in dual channel 2 x 512MB.... with the exact same settings... it's no good.... fails Prime95 in about 2-10 minutes???

any reason why? is this normal? problem with the mobo, ram, etc?

sometimes running in dual channel gives instability from the 1T command on the nForce2 chipset, better known as Command Per Clock. if the option is available in your BIOS, disable it if you want to run dual channel. running nF2 in single channel hardly gives a performance hit...maybe 3% to 5%. if single channel is more stable for you, run it that way.

Thx Tin..

yeah.. I'm using a 2T modded bios... and I need both sticks of RAM... hmmm... so you're saying use the 2 DIMMs in single channel instead of dual... ok I haven't tested it like that yet...
