custom cold cathode switches

i wanna make a controller for my CC's in a 5.25 drive bay...but i want something that looks simple and nice...i dont even know where to start on this, b/c sometimes it hard enough getting my cc's to reach where they want due to short wires. i think the switches would be easy enough--right now they have the PCI slot kind, with REALLY ugly and basic switches. i just need some kinda switch that switches two wires from connected, to not connected, right? the switches in there now have like a few metal things sticking out, but only two of them have the wires for the CC's connected. i would like this to have 3-4 switches, and its gonna have to be SILVER. the switches should also be silver or black, preferably silver.

so basically two questions--what's involved electronically, what kinda wires and switches do i need, links would be helpful

also, im gunna need some kinda bay slot cover to do this--i have an exta, BUT its this weird type--clear plastic, with a silver thin sheet of metal behind it, then the plastic part that connecst to the inside of the case behind that--overall VERY thick. they are held together by bolt-type things and screws.
