Hey guys,ok im building my first comp and beleive i know the basics.I have my motherboard in and my ram.I have also installed my video card. When i do my boot up test i dont get any beep at all,the fans power up and everything but no beep and my monitor screen remains blank. The wires that go to the board seem to be correct *speaker wire ect* however im not sure if my ram is any good. Could someone please throw me a suggestion as to what i may be doing wrong? i know the board worked before.

Sounds as if maybe your missing a voltage ,perhaps .check power supply plugs etc. could be shortting something out ,thus removing it from case.

It sounds like the video card isn't fully seated. You should not be able to see any of the contacts on the video card when it is seated. Given the way cases are you may want to remove the board, or at least lossen the mounting screws and then reseat the board.

The video card seems to be seated ok.Im curious as to why im not getting the boot up beep.Is it possible that if the ram is no good that this could happen?
