Windows crashing at start up
Need a little help....
I've got an AMD 3500 venice and DFI Lanparty Ultra-D with newest BIOS upgrade. When I start up my computer, Windows crashes as my icons start appearing on the task bar. The only way I can get into Windows is by disabling my external cache in my BIOS. Any ideas on why this is occurring? Thanks. |

Sounds like a defective CPU. Contact vendor for RMA.

unfortunately I think you're right. What's wierd is I can get to windows with either one of my caches enabled just never both. I'm gonna pop out the CPU, put it back in, and try again.
