Which is Faster USB 2.0 Or Firewire?
I need to know if USB 2.0 is faster or if Firewire is faster. My iPod is slowly dying on my and I need to get another on. The new iPod Photo 60 gb comes with a USB 2.0 cord, but if the firewire is faster then I will buy one. I am salvaging the dok from my current iPod. i cant use the Firewire cord fom that because the casing is cracked and i dont trust it any more. Thanks in advance for you help guys...and yes Iraq is hot.

Technically, USB 2.0 is slightly faster. But check this article.

Firewire is faster than USB 2.0. It's available up to 800 mbps, whereas USB 2.0 is 480mbps.
Even when you compare the older firewire 1394A (400mbps) to USB 2.0, which does have a higher transfer rate, 1394A wins coz it's more efficient. Just as the article shows. RJ
