Scsi ?????
Ive just been given a scanner that has an scsi input . Im just wondering what is the point of scsi ???????

SCSI is the original and still the best scanner interface. It's fast (unlike parallel), and does not eat system resources like USB. Parallel port and USB scanners were developed simply as cost cutting and convenience features, SCSI interface cards cost money and can be difficult for novices to configure, and external SCSI cables are costly too.
