Are Dell's Rubbish?

Right,

The amount of Dell-related problems I've seen in the forums is probably more than I've seen with first-time builders. I've never personally had a Dell, but I've heard nothing but problems with them.

So, since they're so popular, I think that everyone with a Dell that reads this post should say what (if any) problems they've had with it, so we can see just how bad they really are.

I think its a good idea (dunno what admins think lol...)

I would make a poll if I knew how

My entire company uses Dells (a couple hundred machines). That includes laptops, desktops and servers. Dells are well made, reliable, quiet, and all together excellent machines. The reason many people complain about them is that sometimes you will find proprietary components that can only be replaced with Dell parts.

I also find many people complain about the service, but any time I've had exposure to them they have been very kind and thourough when trying to resolve an issue. You have to realize that when calling the service line they are required to follow a step-by-step manual for troubleshooting.

So... to answer the question in your subject... No. Dells are not rubbish.

Dell PC's are by far the best factory assembled PC's I have worked on.

ror_b211, you need to read the guide for this forum as to how to post a review. Yours is not a review, just an unsubstantiated opinion. I'm closing this thread.
