do u update drivers manually or physically?

i keep getting the blue screen of death "an attempt was made u write to read-only memory" ive done some research and it says i need to check for driver updates..how do i update drivers? and how to i check to see if they need updateing

for whatever drivers you're searching for, check the manufacturer's website. If you need some help getting some specs like your chipset and video card, try using everest:

normally you get newer drivers if they're available. Version information will be displayed when you check the manufacturers sites for your various components and if its newer, more than likely you should update it.

are you sure your memory isnt bad? have you tried running memtest? perhaps you should run it. Just download it and put it on a floppy, then go into your BIOS and have it boot from your floppy as your first device to check for faulty ram, unless you know someone with a good stick.
